Do I need to set it up for them?
No. They can download it, open it and start a lesson on their own. There’s no account needed to begin. If you’re together, you can also install it on their phone in a minute.
Who is STC Learn for?
Anyone who wants to feel more confident with technology, from people brand new to it to people stuck on a few things. Lessons start with the basics and go up to staying safe online, video calls, rides and shopping.
Is it really free?
Yes. $0 cost to you or them. There’s nothing to buy inside the app, no subscription, and no card needed.
So what's the catch?
There isn't one. We get paid when we help older adults access the tech services and products they need, and only once that help has worked. We see ourselves as the bridge between older adults and the technology meant to serve them.
What can the Tech Coach help with?
Questions about their phone, computer, tablet or the internet, inside the app or not. They can call or text 786-822-7024 any time, and the Tech Coach speaks more than 70 languages.
How does the $10 gift card work?
When they finish any lesson module, they tap Claim gift card on the last screen, pick from more than 190 stores, and enter their name and email. The card is sent to their inbox. Limited quantity, while supplies last.
Can I follow along or share lessons with them?
That’s what the Caregiver Dashboard is for, and it’s coming soon. For now, sending them the app is the best way to get them started.
