Is the STC Learn app really free?
Yes. The app costs nothing to download, there is nothing to buy inside it, and there is no subscription waiting to start in month three. You will never be asked for a card.
Do I need to create an account before I can start?
No. Open the app and start a lesson straight away. You only enter your details if you decide to claim the CVS gift card, and that comes at the end of the lesson rather than the beginning.
What kind of phone do I need?
An iPhone or an Android phone, and it works on a tablet too. The lessons show the screens for the phone you actually own rather than a generic one, so what you see matches what is in your hand.
What happens if I get stuck partway through a lesson?
Ask the Tech Coach. You can call it and talk it through out loud, or type the question and read the steps back at your own pace. It answers at any hour, in more than seventy languages, and you can ask it to repeat a step as many times as you like. If you would rather not open the app at all, call or text the Tech Coach on 786-822-7024 — there is nothing to set up first.
Is the Tech Coach a real person?
The Tech Coach is Senior Tech Connect's own AI, built for older adults and shaped by the questions people actually ask us. That is how it can answer at six in the morning or ten at night. If you would rather learn from a live instructor, our webinars are free and anyone can sit in on one.
How do I get the $10 CVS gift card?
Download the app, open the CVS pharmacy lesson in the Partner section, and finish it. On the last screen, tap Claim gift card and enter your name, email and mobile number so we know it is really you.
